While The Vagrant has been active for only three years, his time as a storyteller has stretched for a much longer period of time. In this time, the wandering storyteller has dipped into various genres, voices, and worlds to hone in his storytelling prowess, some with more success than others.

However, many of these pieces remain tucked away, hidden in his Archive for his eyes only. Sometimes because the piece is incomplete. More frequently it’s because he isn’t satisfied with the final results.

But now The Vagrant opens the doors…

The Vagrant proudly presents, The Archive: a collection of never before seen stories, poems, and essays which have been previously tucked away for another time. The Vagrant diligently keeps and curates every single piece he has written, ensuring he can still take a look back on his old work and strive for improvement in his craft.

Periodically, The Vagrant will post pieces with this “From the Archive” tag attached:

The piece itself will be posted, unchanged from its original manuscript. In the instance a piece was originally handwritten, scans or photographs of the original source may be provided. This will include original, hand drawn artwork, which will serve as thumbnails for the post. In the cases where art is not a part of the original piece, The Vagrant will pull from its talented pool of artists and photographers, as he normally does. When we say these pieces will be unchanged, we mean truly unchanged. All grammatical errors, nonsense plots, and terrible jokes will remain intact for your enjoyment and The Vagrant’s embarrassment.

Along with the piece, a separate article will be posted giving background information on the piece. This will include the piece’s inspirations and the circumstances surrounding the piece’s conception, which may include The Vagrant’s age and current hyperfixations. These articles will conclude with a short reflection, noting various points where The Vagrant would improve or change the original if he could “do it all again”.

This series allows for The Vagrant to embrace his old work without altering it to “fit in” with the more well-trained prose and writing in recent posts. He is able to share the writing that laid the foundation for greater works to come while also practicing his skills in literary analysis and self reflection.

So, delve into the Archive of the Vagrant! Laugh at his previous blunders! Marvel at the hidden gems! The endless possibilities just got more endless…
